saffron
 шафран (крокус) - сушеные, желтовато-красные тычинки цветков (или нити) растения из рода крокусов, которые придают блюдам ярко-желтый цвет, а также пикантный вкус. Вместо нитей можно использовать молотый шафран, но у него не такой сильный аромат.
